We typically dedicate between 50 and 70 percent of our waking hours and between 60 and 90 percent of our lives to work. However, many never invest even a small fraction of that time in exploring the vision that drives their life and work.

While some may think they are not theologians, they cannot avoid a daily theology that shapes their lives. The question to ask is: do we know what our practical and personal theology is?

Few people know better than Darrow Miller how practical theology is. In over twenty-five years of work dedicated to relief and development missions, Miller has experienced the intersection of his worldview and his daily work. In this exploration of vocation that can radically reorder our lives, Miller lays out the basic thinking needed to achieve a meaningful and integrated understanding of our lives and work. Whatever our work or vocation, God calls us to a new lifestyle of fullness in His presence.
