Collection: Updated Reina Valera (RVA2015)

This version of the Holy Scriptures is based on the Reina-Valera Actualizada version, which was partially published by Casa Bautista de Publicaciones/Editorial Mundo Hispano starting in 1982, and as a complete Bible in 1989, then revised in 1999 and 2006.

The RVA was a revision of the 1909 Reina-Valera, taking into account both testaments in their original languages and comparing the text with about twenty other ancient and modern versions. The result is a revision that offers many of the benefits of a new translation while retaining the classic flavor of the old version by Casiodoro de Reina (originally published in 1569) and its first revision by Cipriano de Valera (published in 1602).

With its philosophy of faithfulness, honesty, and clarity, the RVA 2015 is a moderately literal translation.
