Biblical Eschatology: A-Millennial Proposal by Sam Storms is a substantial work on the viability of the amillennial eschatological perspective, including that of the book of Revelation. While one might not agree with everything the author says on the subject, the result of the book as a whole is a solid argument for amillennialism. His interlocutors are premillennial interpreters, whom he finds deficient in making a persuasive case for their viewpoint. Storms presents, in my opinion, a very attractive way of understanding the millennial passage of Revelation 20:1-10, but his discussion of many other passages throughout the Bible are also cited in an insightful way in favor of his view. He proposes the correct hermeneutical approach that the rest of the Bible (e.g., Paul's epistles) should be understood as the main interpretive lens for eschatology and not a particular interpretation of Revelation 20, which many have allowed to control their understanding of eschatology elsewhere in the Bible. Among the discussions I found particularly helpful was his study of Daniel 9's seventy weeks. Even those who may disagree with Storms' amillennial approach will definitely benefit from this book.G.
