This simple guide to an essential ministry is a magnificent resource and will be very useful in preparing Christians, so that anyone can have this ministry. There are not many texts like this, and it is our intention to use it widely at St. Helen's.” William Taylor (Rector of St. Helen's Bishopsgate Church, London, UK)

“Helm’s guide encourages evangelism through personal relationship and discipleship based on God's living and active Word, offering practical tools for shared Bible reading and envisioning active participation of God's people as a complement to church programs. Helm calls us to invite people not only to participate in an activity but to enter our lives and the life of faith in Jesus Christ that His Word offers.” Kathleen Nielson (Author and Speaker)

“David Helm is deeply committed to the public exposition of God's Word and the preparation of preachers. However, in his guide, he proposes establishing a culture in our churches of reading the Bible with another person. Without a doubt, both go hand in hand, but many Christians do not know how to start in this ministry of personal Bible reading. This guide provides inspiration for this much-needed ministry revolution and for the growth of the vine, through the personal preaching of the gospel in every corner of our communities.” Colin Marshall (Author of The Trellis and the Vine and Executive Director of Vinegrowers, an organization that helps churches renew a culture of biblical discipleship)
