An Orthodox catechism

That constitutes the sum of the Christian religion contained in the law and the gospel.

This book is a revised edition of the well-known Heidelberg Catechism, this historical document in question and answer form follows the same outline as the Heidelberg in three major sections: misery, deliverance, and gratitude. This catechism was edited and published in 1680 for particular Baptist churches as a tool in the instruction of Christian religion in the fundamental doctrines of the law and the gospel, the Apostles' Creed, the sacraments (especially credobaptism), the Decalogue, and the Lord's Prayer. It consists of 152 questions, includes the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds at the end, and an appendix on the ordinance of congregational singing.
