Chafer succeeded in placing his seminary in a prominent position on the North American religious scene. From 1934 to 1952 he edited the theological journal Bibliotheca Sacra, and in 1947 he completed his world-famous 8-volume Systematic Theology. A moderate sublapsarian Calvinist, in the sense of explaining the plan or scheme of election through God's infinite foreknowledge. The central軸 of his theology was the infinite grace of God. A prominent premillennialist and dispensationalist, he spoke extensively in favor of it in his Systematic Theology. This led to many of his conclusions being somewhat distorted, which is why his theology has been relegated, despite its profitable and provocative sections. Although his main resource is the Bible itself, his pages are replete with references to other theologians. It is written with simplicity and clarity and is well-structured.
