Sermons on Ephesians

Preaching in the Church is the true heart of John Calvin's pastoral ministry, and this is what shaped his work as a theologian. Calvin was fundamentally a preacher. His message from the pulpit was dominated both by reverence for Holy Scripture and by the sense of the dignity and responsibility of the mission of preaching the Word of God.

The sermons on the Epistle to the Ephesians were preached between 1558 and 1559, when Calvin began to reap the fruits of twenty years of ministry and intense struggles. In them, Calvin's voice resonates, always calling for conversion to the Gospel and for the reform of the lives of believers and the Church, under the sovereign authority of the Holy Scriptures. Now, some 450 years later, Calvin's sermons on Ephesians, for the first time in history, are available in Spanish. This second edition has been completely revised, correcting some errors detected in the first edition.
