Over the last 30 years, churches calling themselves 'Reformed Baptist' have begun to populate the American evangelical landscape. While these churches and their members are evangelical in basic respects, they differ from their peers on many important doctrinal and practical issues. This book is for Reformed Baptists and their friends. Reformed Baptist Christians are 'strangers in a strange land.' The intention of this work is to show that their 'strangeness' is not their fault, but rather due to modern Baptist churches deviating from the thought and practice that characterized Baptists throughout history. It is intended to bring calm; assuring them that it is not they, but modern fundamentalism and evangelicalism that are a novelty in the broad current of historical Christianity.
