These two books, "Why Did God Make Me a Girl?" and "Why Did God Make Me a Boy?" were written by Joe Owen from the apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis, along with his daughter Abby Owen, in order to support parents not only in counteracting the bombardment of gender ideology in their homes but also in teaching children how God wants to glorify Himself in their respective masculinity or femininity. Since none of us have lived according to it, these books also present the message of Christ's redemption and how only in and through Him can we live out the structural and functional aspects of God's image in us for God's glory in Christ.
