Understanding God's design according to His Word can awaken a glorious vision capable of freeing all people from Christ-ignoring and romance-intoxicated perspectives. Marriage is fundamentally, more than anything, God's work. And ultimately, marriage is God's demonstration. In a way better than any other event or institution, marriage shows the world the covenant-keeping love between Christ and His people. Marriage, therefore, is not primarily about being in love. It is, above all, about speaking the truth with our lives. And staying married is not about staying in love. It is about keeping the covenant and demonstrating the glory of Christ's faithful love.
