John Owen (1616-1683) is considered one of the greatest theologians in Christianity, and perhaps, along with John Calvin, Martin Luther, and Jonathan Edwards, one of the greatest figures within Evangelical Protestant Christianity. Owen's writings have been the main influence on a large number of theologians and pastors throughout history, such as Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, J.C. Ryle, etc., and more recently on men like Martyn Lloyd-Jones, John Piper, Sinclair Ferguson, Timothy Keller, etc. However, his legacy is almost unknown in the Spanish-speaking world until now.
This second volume specifically addresses topics in Owen's theology, including, for example, Covenant theology, the doctrine of the Trinity, union with Christ, particular redemption, the theological principles for the independence of Church and State, among others. This volume is indispensable for the library of every pastor and theology student, and for anyone who wants to become more familiar with the thought of one of the most brilliant theological minds in all of history.
