Godly Women

A mother's relationship with her son is tremendously important and takes on unique value. We will be surprised to see how many of our Christian heroes were shaped by their mother's dedication and piety. Even if they had a present, dedicated, and faithful father, they insist that their main spiritual influence was their mother.

History tells us of women whose love for the Bible shaped its most prominent expositors from ancient times, and women whose incessant prayer led to the long-awaited salvation of their wayward children. It tells us of women who were great theologians, even if their only students were their own children. It tells us of women who laid foundations in their children's lives that, despite all their children's attempts, they could never undo. Time and again, it tells us of exceptional Christians who owe so much to their pious and faithful mothers.
