The Practical Implications of Calvinism

What is Calvinism? And what difference does it make in our lives as Christians? Pastor Albert Martin's answer is that true Calvinism involves a "vision of the majesty of God."

In this compelling treatise, the author describes Isaiah's encounter with God and how this encounter with the enthroned King led him to a new knowledge of his own sinfulness and the depth of God's forgiveness. Thus overwhelmed by the sovereignty of his Holy Savior, he surrendered to Him without reservation.

In the same way, says the author, Calvinism is not "reading a book read by Kuyper or Warfield" but living a life of self-examination, self-distrust, practical holiness, and prayerful dependence on the Lord.

"The Practical Implications of Calvinism" is much more than a defense of Calvinism; in effect, it is a passionate call to authentic Christian living.
