The earth is flat

Modern society participates in a psychological and religious schizophrenia. On the one hand, our political and religious leaders assure us that things will get better, and that peace, prosperity, and happiness are almost at hand. And we believe them—or at least we keep voting for them and giving our offerings.

But on the other hand, surveys, newspapers, and daily life show us that the visions offered are really nothing more than hallucinations, opium dreams, which, instead of helping, dull and delay.

Where do these contradictions come from? How can it be possible that we let ourselves be deceived so easily? Guillermo Green suggests that the problem arises from a much deeper level than what is commonly discussed. It is nothing less than an impossible effort to isolate the existence of God from public life. According to Green, this effort leads to social suicide.
