The Beauty of Jesus

The character of Jesus has been maligned by those given to sexual perversion and who delight in what their corrupt minds imagine. The character of Jesus has been subjected to the criticism of those who consider His portrayal in the New Testament as too good to be true. Therefore, we must examine some of the issues that have been raised.

At a time when Jesus is being greatly disfigured, it is encouraging to have a portrait of the authentic Jesus offered to us by apostolic testimony. It is the true Jesus whom we encounter in this book.

What is the correct interpretation of the perfect character of Jesus Christ? What impact should a vision of His beauty have on us, beyond genuine admiration? The answers to these questions lead us to the heart of Christian faith and experience.

Clifford Pond, now retired from full-time pastoral ministry, writes a warm presentation of the perfect human character of Jesus Christ. Read as part of personal devotions, one chapter at a time, this book can be a challenge and an encouragement to a holier life. Other titles by the same author include Born Slaves (a condensation of Martin Luther's The Bondage of the Will), Only Servants (a study of the responsibilities of church elders), and a commentary on Jeremiah.
