Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes

Beginning with his birth, Ken Bailey takes you on a kaleidoscopic study of Jesus through the four Gospels. Bailey examines Jesus' life and ministry, emphasizing the Lord's Prayer, the Beatitudes, Jesus' relationship with women, and, especially, Jesus' parables.

Throughout the book, Bailey uses his hallmark expertise as a Middle Eastern culture expert to help you deepen your understanding of Jesus' person and significance within his own cultural context. With a firm yet gentle hand, Bailey peels back the obscure layers of modern Western interpretation to reveal Jesus in light of his real historical and cultural environment.

This groundbreaking material from the pen of Ken Bailey is a must-have for every student of the New Testament. If you have benefited from Bailey's work over the years, this book will be an indispensable addition to your library. If you are not familiar with his work, this book will introduce you to an ancient yet entirely new way of knowing Jesus.
