"Psalm 37 tells us about “Impatience.” C. H. Spurgeon says the following about it:
«The great enigma of the prosperity of the wicked and the affliction of the righteous—which has perplexed so many thinkers throughout all ages—is analyzed in this psalm in light of the future; for which reason, its stanzas expressly discard anxiety and complaints. The Lord gently silences the lamentations of His people—unfortunately too frequent—and tranquilizes the minds of His chosen ones in all that refers to their personal relationship and dealings with Him, declaring Himself to be aware of their precarious situation in this world, like a flock of defenseless sheep surrounded by wolves. It contains eight great precepts; in two specific places it illustrates the revealed truths with autobiographical statements; and it abounds in peculiar contrasts.»
The purpose of the PSALMS COLLECTION is to encourage devotional reading of the Bible, by reading the Psalms in a different way: In 4 compared versions (Reina Valera 1960 - Reina Valera 1977 - Nueva Versión Internacional – La Biblia de las Américas; and a poetic rhyming version) and at the same time, linking the text of each verse of the Psalm with other passages of Scripture."
