Restored man

The earthly crisis of manhood will continue its course until Jesus returns. In Christ, however, the gospel points men to the vision for renewal. "Be a Man!" in the words of Eric Mason's exciting new pastoral voice, combines theological depth with practical insights to bring men into harmony with a gospel-centered manhood that will enrich every aspect of their lives.

The Scope of Masculinity

Mason begins by addressing the scope of manhood. He first examines the reason God created man, the divine differences between man and woman, and what should drive a man's purpose during his earthly life.

The Problems of Masculinity

A section dedicated to the problems of manhood discusses the false icons that lead to cultural caricatures of men—the businessman, the thug, the womanizer, the athlete, etc. Mason then establishes an association with the cross-cultural crisis of fatherhood, examining the things men do to fill the void when they don't have a personal relationship with their dad or God.

The Redemption of Masculinity

Finally, the redemption of manhood reveals Jesus as the true standard of biblical manhood, by observing His perfect example to redeem and restore a man's life in the areas of sexuality, home, and work.
