Heroes for Little Readers: Betty Greene (Take Flight)

It was 1941 when Betty finally achieved what she had always wanted. She had tried other things and wanted to be a nurse, but she would look at the clouds and say to herself, "What a pleasure!" God gave Betty the talent of flying planes, and she longed, more than anything else, to fly for His glory. After her brave and heroic service during World War II, Betty joined other pilots to form the Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF). When missionaries needed supplies, Betty's plane brought them much-needed relief. When they needed transportation across deserts and jungles, Betty's masterful flying and great faith helped them serve God around the world. Learn about Betty Greene's inspiring story in this beautiful book that everyone will want to treasure (1920-1997).
