I would love to be able to sit down with each of you and tell you something over and over again: If you are a believer, you can change and become a person closer to God! Fathers, you can become fathers closer to God! Men, you can become husbands closer to God! And women, you can become wives closer to God!

You can become sensitive, more considerate, more loving, more disciplined, more organized. You can control your anger, appetite, lust, you can become less resentful, you can be more joyful and truthful. The old saying goes: "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." This saying may describe dogs, but not really men, who are made in the image of God and have been redeemed through Christ. These people not only can, but must change.
