An Introductory Grammar.

Why should you learn Greek? While there may be many answers to this question, there is one that is the most impactful: When explaining His Word to others, we must place the emphasis where God placed it. This is difficult without knowing the Greek language.

Greek is easier than you think. Many people don't learn Greek because they think it will be very difficult, as difficult as learning English, but that's not the case. Firstly, Spanish and Greek are very similar, more so than Spanish and English. Furthermore, learning Biblical Greek is much easier because it is an unspoken language.

This introductory grammar will be of practical help because it was written with the student and pastor in mind; that is, reading Greek is not the end goal. The purpose is to know God better through His word. For this reason, the exegesis and examples introduced will help you understand Greek and how to apply it to your ministry.

This book seeks to teach Greek specifically to Spanish speakers. While this sounds obvious, it is not the case for many grammars. Sadly, most Greek grammars in Spanish have been translated from works originally written in English, or at least copy their methods. Another benefit of this book is that it has been written with the help of a computer that calculates the frequency of vocabulary and grammatical forms. Since the goal is only to learn the words and forms that occur in the New Testament, the student does not have to memorize words and forms if they are not common in the NT. With this in mind, the author has tried to help the student know what is most important and what is not.
