What is and what should be the place of preaching and the Word in the life of the church today? What priority should the Sunday sermon have when new church structures and needs, together with new technological advances, seem to increase the pastoral demands on an already busy church leader? These two questions are enough to invite us to a necessary and unavoidable reflection. Constant changes, as well as the increasing demands among pastors and church leaders, make it necessary. On the other hand, the reality is that in an increasing number of churches, preaching is losing specific weight in the space dedicated to worship, the time allotted for this purpose is reduced, its content is improvised, biblical text is dispensed with, until it becomes the true "Cinderella" of our worship to the Lord.
