The Puritan Richard Baxter dedicates this work to pastors, those charged with "keeping watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers" (Acts 20:28). A great classic work that emphasizes the personal instruction of each member of the congregation, touching on many other important topics such as church discipline, the holiness of pastors and ministers, peace among different congregations, the importance of separating from the world and dedicating oneself to the kingdom, and many other topics. Baxter confronts us and helps us align ourselves with what is truly important and a priority: the Kingdom of God.
