This book teaches us the delight that believers should have in observing divine providence and the hand of the Lord in all the affairs of the world. “God's people cannot understand everything that happens to them on their way to heaven. When we get to heaven, we will see not only that it is a beautiful place, but also the beauty of the path by which we were brought. How beautiful it will be when we see at a glance the entire plan of providence and the correct reason for every divine act. Although our current sight is very poor compared to the vision we will have from heaven, nevertheless there is still much sweetness in it, which I can call a little bit of heaven.”
