The Heart of Christianity - Study Guide

THE HEART OF CHRISTIANITY is a ten-week course designed to help people come to know Jesus Christ. Week after week, participants examine the Gospel of Mark, addressing three major questions that are an essential part of Christianity: Who was Jesus? Why did He come? And what does it mean to follow Him?

The HEART OF CHRISTIANITY course was created to evangelize with the Gospel of Mark and has been designed to be worked on jointly: the person responsible for running it, the group of instructors who support it, and the people who participate. To this end, three elements of the Course have been developed. If one of the three is missing, the Course is incomplete and cannot be developed. In addition, an identical Bible is used for everyone.

The authors of The Heart of Christianity are Rico Tice, Barry Cooper, and Sam Shammas. The course was developed over ten years, first printed in 2003, and thoroughly revised and updated in the Second Edition in 2005. This Spanish version was contextualized in 2008 for the Latin world.
