One of the most significant controversies in the last century has been the debate surrounding the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Undoubtedly, the presence of the Spirit of power is essential for the Church's mission in this world. But many argue that historical churches have ignored the work of the Holy Spirit, thus falling into coldness and conformity. "Pentecostal fire" has fallen within groups of all branches, both Protestant and Roman Catholic. The prudent Christian, however, will observe a very great diversity of doctrines and practices among groups that emphasize the Holy Spirit. And many are questioning the very biblical foundations of the salient points of these currents.
In this work, the author, with penetrating analysis, opens the sacred scriptures and, in a very balanced way, expounds its teachings on the third person of the Trinity and his work in the believer. He also points out, with a Christian spirit, the dangers in theologies that deviate from these teachings.
