Discerning the Times

It is not often in our Christian circles that we find works where the opinions of great servants of God on certain topics are presented side by side, without further commentary. In the work at hand, we have sought to do just that, and there is no need to introduce its authors, as both have been esteemed and respected in almost all Christian environments and denominations. Both lived in different eras, separated by a lifetime, one might say, for when Arthur W. Pink died, José Grau was still a young man beginning his Christian journey. But both held very similar concepts about the glory of God, the grace of God, the work of our Lord Jesus Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the Christian life in holiness. Both were staunch defenders of the great Christian doctrines, and both wrote extensively about the subject we present: dispensationalism.

The novelty of this publication lies in the opportunity it offers to compare their ideas, to verify the development of certain teachings over time, and to identify the errors that, once discovered, attempted to camouflage or disguise themselves in subsequent years.

It is our prayer to God that the reading of this work may serve as a baton that we pass on to our generation of the true testimony of Christ, and we hope that it will leave no one indifferent, regardless of their theological stance on these matters.
