God has spoken

What is the Bible for? Today, this is the big question. To know the case and the use that should be made of the Bible, it is convenient to evaluate the nature of the Bible's authority. Is this authority simply human, one among others? Or is it divine, because its text is a revelation from God?

Can it be said, along with the ancient theologians, that God is the Author of the Bible? Or should it be admitted that the Bible is merely a human production? The thesis of the book is the following: to consider that the Bible is a simply divine or simply human text constitutes an error of judgment. The Bible is both divine and human in nature. Its human nature forces us to consider its authors, its language, its environment, the history of its time, and its culture. All these elements should not make us forget that, in writing, God reveals himself and that they cannot even be well understood if it is not considered that God expresses himself through them.

In the Bible, there is no separation between the divine and the human, but rather continuity and complementarity.
