From Pastor to Pastor

The contemporary Church needs a spiritual awakening in the lives of pastors; that they love God more than their personal success; that they deeply study the Word and bring nutritious food to the people; that they live in prayer and be an example of piety for the flock. Pastors who give their lives for the sheep instead of exploiting the flock; who do not succumb to pragmatism or sell their conscience for money or success. Faithful pastors, not popular pastors; broken men, not famous men.

Pastors who understand their mission and value their work, as C. H. Spurgeon said, "My sons, if the Queen of England invites you to be ambassadors in any country in the world, do not degrade your position by ceasing to be ambassadors of the King of kings and Lord of lords."
