Commentary on Acts Chapters 4 and 5. This is the second in a series of volumes collecting Dr. Lloyd-Jones' preaching on the Acts of the Apostles. It includes texts from the chapters which, according to him, present "authentic Christianity and nothing else."
Why should 21st-century readers be interested in 1st-century preaching? Aren't there already many more urgent matters of interest to them than a long discourse given by a Jewish Christian to the leaders of his nation in Jerusalem? Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones was convinced that the time spent on the early chapters of Acts, "to discover how the Church began and what its message was in the beginning," was well spent.
