Hearts, minds, and hands

Hearts, Minds, and Hands is the result of a training method developed by Dr. David Sills, a professor, missiologist, and president of a missionary agency, based on decades of experience in missions around the world. Dr. Sills, a recognized missionary scholar in the field of indigenous missions leadership development, served at the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization conference held in Pattaya, Thailand, and later on the theological education faculty of the International Orality Network. He conducted two large-scale research studies with indigenous pastors who needed training. Finally, he founded a missionary agency to address the needs identified through these endeavors, as well as the needs that missionaries from various parts of the world write to him about daily. This training model is the essence of Hearts, Minds, and Hands, which has already been used to train pastors in seven different training centers in various international settings.

Hearts, Minds, and Hands is a proven effective system that will equip pastors with the basic information they need to fulfill their biblical role and also serve as a resource for missionaries, volunteers, and other pastors to train those whom God has called to serve Him. The content is developed around Dr. Sills' method to equip pastors with a biblical foundation (their "mind"), a spiritual foundation (their "heart"), and a methodological foundation (their "hands"). This ensures that they will know how to rightly divide and teach God's Word, understand the need to exemplify the spiritual characteristics of a pastor, and have the practical tools necessary to lead and administer a local church.
