Tolerance and coexistence are good. In fact, they are necessary. If we are to live together in peace, without hating each other, without physically harming each other due to differences in race, culture, sexual orientation, political stance, or religious belief, we must have tolerance. However, we must also recognize that not all beliefs can be equally valid. If two beliefs directly contradict each other, they cannot both be true, no matter how "tolerant" we are. This means it is false to say that all religions are true or that all religions lead to God. When people make these claims, they demonstrate that they have not taken the time to study world religions, because a brief reading of the sacred texts of some religions will quickly reveal that there are contradictions at the most fundamental levels.
