Since the night Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper, this sacrament has played a central role in the faith and practice of the Church. It is therefore curious that so many believers do not value the Lord's Supper.
The author says: "Believers do not consider it very important and therefore assign little meaning to it. They mostly ignore the theology instilled in and derived from this sacrament. They lack spiritual assurance and do not seek the grace derived from the Lord's Supper. How surprising!"
The purpose of writing this treatise is to help believing readers understand the biblical instruction of this sacrament, the theology that underpins it, and the practical and pastoral applications for administering and receiving it.
