Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown's work covers every chapter of the Old Testament with both scholarly and devotional commentary. It addresses the original biblical languages but without being overly technical so that it can be understood by the lay public and also be useful for pastors and students.
We hope these books will fill a need that has been expressed on many occasions. There are commentaries on the Bible, but they generally consist of many volumes, while in these two volumes we find commentaries on the entire Bible, approved by many years of constant use by renowned preachers and students of the Holy Scriptures.
