Since their publication, the Westminster documents have had a life- and world-transforming impact. The Confession and Catechisms, as well as the less well-known products of the Westminster Assembly such as the Directories for the government and worship of the church, have brought much-needed clarification, illumination, and inspiration to avid students of the Bible and biblical doctrine. Their admirers are found in every branch of Christendom, and their beneficiaries are found wherever their disciples have traveled. This work has one goal: to encourage the inductive study of the Confession and its supporting documents (the Catechisms and Directories). Its method is that of a series of questions that direct students' attention to reading each section of the Confession to discover its teaching for themselves. Introductions to the background and content of each section are provided to assist students in their study.
