This is an introductory book on eschatology, starting from the basics and fundamentals, yet also schematic and useful even for experts on the subject. This book presents five fundamental elements or characteristics that form the theological basis of the amillennial understanding of biblical eschatology in a positive, simple, and direct manner. It is not a polemical book, in the sense that it does not seek to answer criticisms or present criticisms of other eschatological positions (only at certain points where some criticism is inevitable).
"In an ecclesiastical culture where the {official title} Left Behind[2] series remains the predominant view of eschatology, Jeffrey Johnson has provided an outstanding introduction to biblical eschatology. The Five Points of Amillennialism is a robust biblical-theological treatment of the main themes of eschatology. Personally, I will use this highly readable book as a tool to introduce people to a biblical eschatology that exalts the risen and reigning King, Jesus Christ." Brian Borgman, Pastor, Grace Community Church, Minden, Nevada, USA.
"Jeffrey Johnson delivers what he promises: a readable introduction to the heart of amillennialism, without being distracted by a thousand intricacies! His keen pastoral eye has deeply scrutinized the soul of our Christian community. With a discerning theological mind, he has focused on five key principles that clearly guide through the confusing labyrinth of the End Times in which many are trapped. Familiar illustrations and warm testimonies complete this work, making the reader feel at home. The summary at the end of the book is worth a look before starting to read the entire work, in line with the adage of reading every book from the outside in. For a work of less than 120 pages {in English}, in a comfortable size and format, Jeffrey Johnson has hit the nail on the head with this good work!" Duncan Rankin, Professor of Systematic Theology, Reformed Theological Seminary
"With the ever-changing events of our world, it seems that more and more people are wondering about the end times. This is good. As Christians, we need to have answers. However, unfortunately, sometimes we don't have the answers we need. Often, even we ourselves are confused about this vital topic. Enter Jeffrey Johnson's new book, The Five Points of Amillennialism. Here we have a simple, succinct, and biblical presentation that clears up many false notions about the end times and firmly anchors the believer on the solid rock of biblical truths. Reading this volume has greatly encouraged me. I am now excited to recommend it to you." Rob Ventura, Pastor, Grace Community Baptist Church, Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
