"Modesty is a subject that attracts controversy. No matter how the servant of God approaches the issue, those who hear him will consider him either a legalist or a libertine. It is inevitable. Speaking against current fashion and popular trends is always difficult and costly for the servant of God. However, God has called him to pursue a course that, by divine design, leads to a head-on collision with the world's way of thinking and customs. My goal, however, is not controversy. My sole desire is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to stir up His people to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).
My most ardent desire is that what is obvious to our eyes here, the God of truth will make evident to the heart, and that He will grant my readers and myself good judgment, so that we may be able to distinguish between things that differ."
