Precious Remedies Against the Mischiefs of Satan (Complete)

"The strange opposition I suffered from Satan during the study of this work has prompted me to make a greater effort, knowing that Satan fights fiercely to prevent those things from coming to light that can shake and defeat his kingdom of darkness, magnifying the Kingdom and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ in the souls and lives of the children of men (...)" This is one of the seven reasons for writing this book cited by the author, Thomas Brooks, in his preface." Another reason Brooks lists for writing this book is sufficient... Brooks says, "Satan has more influence and advantage over men than they think, and the knowledge of his advantages is the great way to deceive him, and to make the soul resist strongly and be happy in conquest."

Among the reasons why the publisher has released this edition is the fact noted by George Smeaton that the best Christian authors of old treated the seductive influence and terrible power of Satan in a way "much fuller and more suggestive than current literature." In his introduction Brooks tells us:

“This book deals with the tactics Satan uses to lead believers into sin. Satan is the enemy of Christ and all his disciples. Satan wants to turn them away from God's will and alienate them from Him. In his attempt, Satan is very subtle. He wants believers to be seduced without them realizing it. He wants them to sin but he doesn't want them to believe or feel that they are sinning.

They should learn about themselves

They should learn about Satan's cunning in his attempts to turn them away from God
