The theory of evolution has been called “the idea with the greatest impact and scope the world has ever seen.” It has been debated so heatedly and promoted with such intensity in the media that millions of people without scientific knowledge take its truth for granted.
Evolution claims that life on Earth began fortuitously in a kind of chemical "soup," and asserts that Homo Sapiens is the latest in a long series of species that started with the first living cell, moving through invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, furry quadrupeds, and anthropomorphic mammals. What evidence exists for such a fascinating scenario? Can it be proven that life began in this way? What are the odds against such an event? Has paleontology discovered clear and unlimited links between all species? Can it truly be shown that all life forms owe their individual existence to random, accidental, and haphazard genetic changes? Or is there another explanation?
