Scripture Alone

The 16th-century Protestant Reformation was formative for many areas of society, and it affected every facet of life: theology, economics, politics, education, science, and the family. However, the 'Protestant' movement was not homogeneous; rather, there were several branches, each with its own foundations and particular outcomes. In this book, Carlos Cruz analyzes the theological foundations of 16th-century Charismatism, compared to the teachings of Reformers like Luther and Calvin, drawing parallels with our present day.

Carlos Cruz leaves for the Spanish-speaking world a beautiful and intriguing work on a topic of great importance, which affects all of Christendom today. His language is direct, without circumlocution, hesitation, or detours, addressing with an apologetic yet pastoral tone the challenges and follies that contemporary Charismatism imposes on us.

Cruz's firm desire is to keep the Bible open regarding its subject, demanding from his readers a stance of commitment to the Word of God.
