What kind of preaching builds up the church and converts the world? What components should it have? How should preachers minister so that God is duly honored, Christ is truly presented as Savior, and people are edified and comforted?
Although there is no absolute answer to these questions, there are some important principles that need to be kept in mind when carrying out this ministry. This book reflects on what preaching should be like in order to reach and transform the church and the world. Preaching, unlike other discourses, does not aim to overshadow the masses, but rather to bring people to Christ.
This is the third Basic in the series When God's Voice is Heard, through which trained and experienced preachers explore different aspects of preaching.
