"Sayings that Change Lives" is a book that delves into Latin American culture by exploring its most popular sayings and proverbs, leading us to discover that many of them originated from Biblical Proverbs. These proverbs speak directly to many challenging issues in our society: corruption, politics, infidelity, and child-rearing. Ultimately, the most important purpose of the Proverbs and of this precious book is to point us to the One who is greater than Solomon: Jesus Christ.
The author progressively leads us to two astonishing conclusions: 1) That these sayings and proverbs have the power to give us a healthier and happier life when we incorporate them into our daily lives as habits. 2) That the ultimate purpose of Biblical Proverbs is to reveal to us the person of Christ Jesus, in whom all the wisdom of God dwells; and that only by connecting with Him can we find the true and original purpose for our lives.
Awarded the Letra Viva Book of the Year Latin America 2012 Award, this book uses popular sayings and proverbs to introduce us to the study of Biblical Proverbs as their root, proposing five habits for a wise life and leading us to encounter the greatest of all, the source of all wisdom: Jesus of Nazareth.
