Often the Bible is taught to children as a collection of disconnected stories from which some moralizing conclusions are drawn. But it was not for that purpose that God inspired His Word. There is a great history of covenants that runs throughout all its pages, from Genesis to Revelation, and whose center is the Person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is that redemptive story that we wish to present in this small work, "a story of love, adventure, and heroism, whose protagonist is the God of promise, who carries out what He sets out to do, despite our failures."
It has been written with the purpose of helping parents who wish to instruct their children in the fear of the Lord and present the gospel to them in a way that is appropriate for their tender minds. And so that young readers may become familiar with the precious unity of Scripture and the great doctrines that God reveals to us in it, with the hope that the Holy Spirit will illuminate their hearts for the "knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 4:6).
