The Heart of Christianity - Study Guide Instructor

CHRISTIANITY EXPLAINED is a ten-week course designed to help people get to know Jesus Christ. Week by week, participants examine the Gospel of Mark, addressing three major questions that are an essential part of Christianity: Who was Jesus? Why did he come? and What does it mean to follow him?

The CHRISTIANITY EXPLAINED course was created to evangelize with the Gospel of Mark and has been designed to be worked on together: the person responsible for running it, the group of instructors who support it, and the people who participate. To that end, three elements have been developed that make up the Course:

• a book called How to Run the Course
• a Study Guide for participants, and
• another one for instructors, the Study Guide: Instructor's Edition.

If one of the three is missing, the Course is incomplete and cannot be developed. In addition, an identical Bible is used by everyone.

The authors of Christianity Explained are Rico Tice, Barry Cooper, and Sam Shammas. The course was developed over ten years, first printed in 2003, and in the Second Edition, in 2005, it was thoroughly revised and updated. This Spanish version was contextualized in 2008 for the Latin world.
