In this panoramic study of the New Testament, Merrill C. Tenney presents in a clear style the historical context, outline, and purpose of each book of the New Testament. Additionally, he provides some charts on the harmony of Christ's life, the sacred year, the date of the apocryphal books, the chronology of the early Pauline era, and interpretations of Revelation.

Some topics covered include the text and how the New Testament came to us, the meaning of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the religious, political, social, and economic world of the New Testament. Furthermore, "Our New Testament" contains several maps of Palestine at the time of Christ, the world of Acts 1-11, Paul's journeys, Jerusalem and Rome at the beginning of the Christian era, the provinces of Asia Minor, and the seven churches of Asia.
