Why return to the Scriptures? What is happening with the current teachings of the Church that do not align with what the Bible says? How can we be sure that what we hear is the Word of God and not a modified word of man? Is the biblical gospel being preached? How can we be sure if we know the God of the Scriptures and not a god manufactured in our image? How do we detect error?

We live in an era where relativism, psychology, modernism, false doctrine, the American dream gospel, and the lack of expository preaching are the order of the day. Bible passages taken out of context are used to teach unbiblical messages. The absence or lack of knowledge of the Word has caused us to be like the waves of the sea, and our convictions are increasingly weaker or absent. God, by His grace, has allowed the author to see the contrast that exists between teaching centered on biblical truth and done expositorily, and a totally humanistic, superficial, and psychological teaching. It is necessary and urgent that we examine our lives, homes, churches, and ministries in light of the Scriptures. Let us return to the Word, which is sufficient and is the only one that can truly transform every person who is exposed to it. This book is a call to open our eyes and look at what is happening within us or before our eyes, and to see what is weakening and destroying biblical and true Christianity. It is a call to carefully observe, from all angles, what we believe, what we do, and on what our faith and way of life are based. It is a call to return to the Word.
