All biblical doctrine is key to the well-being of the church. However, among them are several that are very fundamental for building a solid church. These five doctrines presented here, namely 'The Corruption of Man,' 'His Election in Christ,' 'Effective Atonement,' 'Irresistible Grace,' and 'The Perseverance of the Saints,' are basic.
Without a thorough understanding of the seriousness of man's problem, the gospel preached is deficient. By not firmly grasping God's work on behalf of man in grace, we are tempted to preach a gospel of good works - works that are meaningless and purposeless as they have no value for man's salvation.By mastering these doctrines, not only on an intellectual level but in the concrete experience, the believer will discover new dimensions in their life in Christ.
