One of the biggest problems in the church is that we don't understand who God is. But in that revelation - the theophany in which God appeared to Moses - part of God's transcendent majesty was revealed. What was invisible became visible through the theophany. The revelation of God in the burning bush that was not consumed still holds the same relevance for Christians today.
