The work is structured in two parts:

The first part, titled SALVATION IN CHRIST, which occupies a little more than half of the work, is dedicated to outlining the foundations of biblical-Protestant faith: Justification and sanctification in the sacrifice of Christ, which entails a biblical faith without works of the law, and the new birth by the action of the Holy Spirit.

In the second part, titled THE DEBATE, he expounds on the currents of thought that today differ from this biblical-Protestant faith, questioning and reinterpreting it:

– Roman Catholicism and its ossified conception of salvation through sacraments administered by the Church. Sacraments serve to actualize the work of Christ by reproducing it as a copy and creating reality through this repetition. Baptism replaces the new birth, renews man, and leaves an indelible mark on the baptized that forever identifies him as a Christian; man renewed by Baptism no longer needs salvation by faith. The sacrifice of the Mass is seen as an effective sacrifice in the present, and although in theory it will be argued that the sacrifice of the Mass does not have efficacy in itself, but rather refers to the model, in practice the Catholic understands that merely participating in the Mass is sufficient for salvation. This is the fundamental difference between the biblical-Protestant understanding and the sacramentalist understanding of the Roman Catholic Church.

– Humanism, which has infiltrated a large part of historical Protestantism, tarnishing theology and poisoning faith, turning the Gospel into a politically correct message of self-salvation. Neither law nor Gospel are preached from pulpits anymore, but social, political, economic, and cultural topics: involvement in world peace, the abolition of nuclear energy, and the ecological and feminist transformation of society. Humanism is one of the greatest challenges facing biblical Christianity in our time. The general humanist consensus that man, in his essence, is not perfect but capable of doing good, is universal spiritual heritage. Whoever contradicts this and dares to speak of man's sin and perdition has no chance of being heard publicly, and sometimes not even in the evangelical public sphere.

– Emotionalism, which, disdaining the means God uses to meet us, seeks a direct connection with God through emotions and experiences, without realizing that this presupposes seeing fallen man as divine or compatible with God. The focus is on what happens within man, the current experience of the divine, displacing the cross of Christ as the central pivot of redemption. For the emotionalist, the mediating work of Christ and the biblical Word as means of salvation are earthly and superficial; salvation must be experienced, not just believed. Therefore, he claims direct access to God, for he wants to be like God.
