How the Creeds Were Made

"Creeds as We See Them" was first published in 1935. Since then, there have been numerous English re-editions; the last one in 1980. The value of this work has not lost its relevance. On the contrary, we find that there is still no brief, paperback, and inexpensive book that illustrates the early development of creeds and Christian doctrine in the same way this book does: with freshness, charm, and that quality of writing and judging that is above the passage of time, so characteristic of its author.
